I LOVE trying new things. I’m very good with beginnings. The in-between is where I can get impatient-especially if I can foresee the ending and I know the shortest line from point A to point B is a straight line. And when the line curves, that’s when I get to practice the virtue of patience :)
I’d like to think I’m kind, selfless when I want to be, intelligent-both in the academic way and the funny-witty way.
I am dedicated to teaching and am passionate about learning. It helps that I manage a cosmetology school while I finish my masters in Education majoring in Curriculum Studies. I love the structure of University learning, I love ‘Eureka’ moments of realization whether a fresh idea realization or a different perspective one. That is why I will always respect differences in opinion and value common interests.
I love that my family is intact amidst family struggles of infidelity, distance, rebellion and various differences in personalities. All 5 of us enjoy each others’ company.
I love that my friends are fiercely loyal and protective of me. They love my rational, linear, and calm way of discerning their problems. I’m the b**ch in our group who is mean to the new girlfriend/boyfriend to test their mettle and if they are sincere with my friends.
In the end we all look for that special one (I’m going to use the term as much of a cliché as it is) who matches with our values – whether complementing each other with interesting differences or being so much alike that sentences are finished through each others' thoughts. I am a practical romantic.
